Objective: SWBAT calculate the period of a simple harmonic oscillator.
Warm Up: A block of mass m if allowed to hang from a spring in static equilibrium. It stretches the spring a distance L. The block and spring are then set into oscillation. Is the period of this system less than, equal to or greater than the period of a simple pendulum having a length L and a bob mass m?
